 The Cost and Pricing 1 Day Workshop Highlights
- Improve your understanding of the psychology of success in government contracting
- Review the basic terminology associated with the indirect rate and accounting system processes
- Identify some typical business cost elements that make up indirect costs
- Examine a typical basic formula, the variables, and structure of indirect rates
- Identify the requirements for a government acceptable accounting system
- Review an actual, acceptable accounting system structure
- Demonstrate a logical process of analyzing and classifying your financial data for indirect rate development
- Step through a complete example of developing indirect rates from financial data
- Improve your understanding and preparedness for DCAA and other government audits
- Provide dependable resources for remaining current with changes
- Reinforce learning with interactive exercises and handouts
- Provide information to avoid trouble while minimizing fines, penalties and interest
Participants do not have to attend the 2-Workshop training in order to attend the Cost and Pricing Workshop Training, but, the firm must meet the eligibility criteria as set forth by the SBA.

Who Should and Can Attend? The accountant, contract administrator, business manager, cost or pricing specialist, or anyone else involved in the day-to-day financial or cost activities of the firm.
**Don't Forget** All you have to bring is a pencil/pen, note paper, and a basic hand-held calculator as we work through a few exercises together.

A:
A 7( j) eligible small business owner is defined as: 8(a) certified firms, HUBZone certified firms, firms that are eligible to receive 8(a) contracts, businesses operating in areas of high unemployment or low income and firms owned by low income individuals. Areas of high unemployment are defined in the U.S. Census Bureau's Country and City Data Book. The low-income area and low-income individuals are defined in the Poverty Guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
